Sie führte ihn zu Vorlesungen über »Die physikalischen Prinzipien der Quantentheorie« an der Universität Chicago. Diese Vorlesungen werden in dem vorliegenden Band zusammenfassend behandelt. Der Autor wollte mit der Veröffentlichung dazu beitragen, den Kopenhagener Geist der Quantentheorie zu verbreiten.
