This trilogy of plays from prolific writer David Pinner taps into the very present fashion for all things vampire related. Encompassing 3 plays written over a period of 45 years, The Vampire Trilogy offers unique slants on the occult. Included in this collection is: Fanghorn is a dark and surreal comedy poking fun at the Theatre of Cruelty. Originally performed in 1966 in the West End, Fanghorn starred Glenda Jackson in the lead role as Tamara Fanghorn. Edred the Vampire is a tale of a 1000-year old bisexual vampire, who slept with Shakespeare but never bit him. Breaking all of Bram Stoker s vampire laws, Edred lives in a church and has a taste for garlic and crucifixes. Lucifer's Fair is the family Halloween musical about a fair run by the Devil to entrap unwary children. Lead vampire Fangs is a bovver boy by day, and an incompetent vampire by night.
