Dochnicht nur im Theater machte sich Durringer bis datoeinen Namen, auch als Drehbuchautor, Produzent undFilmregisseur ist er weltweit erfolgreich. In diesemBuch gibt die Autorin einen Einblick in Durringersdramatisches Werk. Anhand von zwei herausgearbeitetenSchaffensperioden, einer frühen und einer späterenPhase, werden die Dramen "Bal-Trap" (1989/90) und "LaPromise" (2001) exemplarisch analysiert undinterpretiert. In einem abschließenden Exkurs werdendie Textsammlungen "Chroniques des jours entiers, desnuits entičres" (1996) und "Chroniques 2" (2001)sowie "Histoires d'Hommes" (2003) vorgestellt. Dabeiliegt der Schwerpunkt auf den zwischenmenschlichenKonstellationen und dem Kreislauf von deraufkeimenden bis hin zur versiegenden Liebe.Abgerundet wird der Einblick in Durringers Werk durchein ausführliches Autoreninterview und ausgewählteFotografien einer Inszenierung der Autorin im Anhang.
