Late night talk show 'Night Owls with Jack Delroy' is losing viewers and struggling to compete with 'The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson'. In a bid to boost their ratings, 'Night Owls' host Jack (Dastmalchian) pitches an occult-themed episode for Halloween night with special guests including a psychic, a former magician, a parapsychologist and a musician. As the evening unfolds, however, the events in the studio grow increasingly sinister and spin dangerously out of control. Many years later, footage is discovered and analysed by a documentary crew to find out what happened on that Halloween night in 1977...
