Seranata - A Novel

Daniel Foster came to Marbella for sunshine, jazz, and a few relaxing weeks aboard Seranata, the magnificent yacht owned by his longtime friend Alejandro Vargas. He never expected to find himself seated in an exclusive high-stakes poker game at Casino del Mar. Backed by Alejandro and facing wealthy, experienced players, Daniel relies on patience, observation, and the analytical skills developed during a career in banking. But one player seems just a little too good. Victor Laurent makes remarkable calls, avoids dangerous hands, and quietly wins without attracting attention. Daniel begins watching more closely. What starts as a fascinating poker challenge becomes a subtle investigation into whether someone has found a way to beat a game that should be honest. Set against the glamorous backdrop of Puerto Banús, international jazz, Mediterranean cruising, and high-stakes poker, Seranata is a story of friendship, deception, calculated risk, and knowing when to leave the table.
