Mein Kampf is the only fully completed literary work by Adolf Hitler. Since its release, the Nazis have considered it the holy text of National Socialism. By 1939, it had sold 5.2 million copies and had been translated into 11 languages. The book was published in two parts. Hitler wrote the first volume in 1925, inside the Bavarian Landsberg Castle, where he was imprisoned following his failed coup attempt. It is titled "e;Settlement or Revenge,"e; in which he expresses his racist outlook, as he defines the Aryans as the genius race, while... He describes the Jews as parasites who must be eliminated. The second volume was written in 1927, after his release, and is titled "e;The National Socialist Movement,"e; and focuses on the political program of National Socialism, explaining the methods that should be followed to gain power, and how to exercise it in the new Germany.
