April 13, 2039. The Machines, enormous cylinders four hundred feet tall, dropped from the sky across the world. After they settle, they open and release Monsters of all shapes and sizes. Death and destruction follow in their wake.Captain Jason Sabatini gathers his old team as they become members of the National Evacuation and Monster Obliteration branch of the Army (N.E.M.O.). At first, they evacuated areas under attack by Monsters. Evacuation all too often means encountering the Monsters, and with fatal results. Soon, the team is disposing of Monsters full-time. Jason's team has the latest weapons because the Machines fall faster than they can be dealt with.The federal government breaks into 6 Federal Districts, each with a Governor Director. Limited martial law is established in an attempt to prevent societal collapse. People are free to conduct business and lead their lives, but they must evacuate any area where a Machine lands to a distance of fifteen miles.Jason and his team must evacuate survivors, kill Monsters, and go head-to-head with stubborn civilians, incompetent local government officials and the growing number of scavengers and black marketeers taking advantage of the ongoing disaster.These are the stories of a world on the brink of Apocalypse.
