Returning to the study of al-Hallaj is not a retreat into the past or a detachment from reality, but rather a revival of heritage, a search for its strengths and mechanisms of success and continuity. It is also a serious endeavor to restore concepts to their proper place, balances to justice, and truth to its rightful owners. The concept of immortality in al-Hallaj has not received dedicated study. All that has been presented has been in the context of passing remarks, brief observations, or short presentations. The topic has not been addressed in a rigorous and in-depth manner, nor has any aspect of it, such as temporal immortality, been focused on, despite its immense importance not only to Sufi thought but also to philosophical and humanistic thought. Studying this issue is a genuine and serious attempt to understand how the Arab and Islamic world, as well as Europe, received al-Hallaj in an age of civilization, progress, and technology, and to grasp the extent of the influence of his philosophy, ideas, and tragedy. I have attempted to adopt an inductive-analytical approach in exploring the complexities of the issue of "e;Immortality in al-Hallaj,"e; as well as a comparative approach whenever necessary. Throughout, I have been careful to ensure that the understanding aligns with the intended meaning and that the conclusions are consistent with the overall context, so that no interpretations are imposed or words and statements are burdened with meanings they do not need to be interpreted. It should be noted that I have relied on a number of sources and references, the most important of which are:- "e;Diwan"e; by al-Hallaj, a primary source in which he compiled his most prominent poems that revolve around numerous Sufi and philosophical issues and problems. - "e;Tawasin,"e; another important source, given its inclusion of many valuable intellectual and Sufi concepts and mechanisms relevant to the main topic. - "e;Akhbar al-Hallaj,"e; a collection of accounts and events narrated about al-Hallaj, which is indispensable due to the information and information it contains that explains a significant and important part of the life of this martyr of Islamic Sufism.
