You can write a book Too

There was a time when I never imagined that I would become

an author.

I was just somebody who had ideas.

I had thoughts running through my mind, stories I wanted

to tell, poems I wanted to write, and experiences I wanted to

put into words. I started with lyrics and poetry, and eventually

those words grew into books.

Looking back now, I realize that becoming an author was not

something that happened overnight. It was a journey.

I had to learn how to take an idea and turn it into something

people could actually read. I had to learn about editing, for-

matting, book covers, publishing platforms, ISBNs, print books,

eBooks, audiobooks, marketing, and everything else that comes

along with putting a book into the world.

And believe me, I did not know everything when I started.

I had questions.

I made mistakes.

I had moments when I wondered if I was doing things the right

way.

But I kept learning.

That is one of the biggest reasons I decided to write this book.

I know there are people out there who have a book inside of

them but don't know where to begin. Maybe you have already

iiiwritten your manuscript but have no idea what to do next. Maybe

you have an idea for a book but keep putting it off because the

publishing process seems complicated.

answers myself.

This book was created to help make that process easier to

understand.

I am not writing this book to tell you that there is only one

way to become an author. There isn't.

There are different publishing companies, different platforms,

different services, different prices, and different approaches.

What works for one author may not work for another.

That is why I want you to explore your options.

Do your research.

Read the terms and conditions.

Compare the services.

Look at the costs.

Understand what you are paying for.

And most importantly, make the decision that makes sense

for your own book and your own circumstances.
