William Klein : Né à New York 1928, William Klein a grandi à Manhattan. Après des études universitaires, il fait son service militaire. Démobilisé à Paris, Klein décide d'y rester et de se consacrer à la peinture qu'il étudie brièvement avec Fernand Léger. En 1954, il réalise un journal photographique de son retour à New York. Publié en 1956, Life is Good and Good For You in New York: Trance Witness Revels paraît en Europe mais est jugé trop violent pour les États-Unis. Dans la lignée de ce succès, paraît une série de livres consacrée à d'autres grandes villes du monde : Rome en 1958, Moscou et Tokyo en 1964, puis Paris avec une majorité d'images datant des années 2000-2002. Après avoir travaillé dans le cinéma durant plusieurs années, Klein revient à la photographie dans les années 1980 et continue de publier de nombreux ouvrages. William Klein a exposé partout dans le monde, notamment au Centre Pompidou (Paris), à la Tate Modern (Londres), au FOAM (Amsterdam) ou au MoMA (San Francisco). William Klein – Yes est le second livre publié par l'Atelier EXB, après Photographisme en 2017.
