Year Zero

Year Zero - Book one (The Cataclysm)
Earth has been abandoned. Having destroyed their own planet, humanity has built a new civilization on a distant world - one founded on absolute order, rigid rules, and a balance that seemingly guarantees peace and stability for all.
Arthe and Xander, two young people who are profoundly different from one another, have grown up within this perfect system, where any doubt is discouraged and any deviation is kept under control. But when Märina - an enigmatic girl who appears to possess forbidden knowledge - enters their lives, that fragile balance begins to fracture.
What start as mere questions soon evolve into unsettling discoveries. The order governing the planet reveals ever-deeper cracks, as long-buried secrets resurface from a past someone once tried to erase.
The closer Arthe and Xander get to the truth, the clearer it becomes that human history may have been manipulated-and that the price of such knowledge could be far higher than they ever imagined.
For some truths were not hidden by accident.
And when the past returns to reclaim the present, the future, too, can be rewritten.
Everything can begin anew.
From Year Zero.
