Brought up in the footballing heartlands on Merseyside, Geoff junior is the son of former Liverpool player and later legendary scout Geoff senior. This was never more evident than when he became the only Rovers man in history to receive a standing ovation from the crowd at Bristol Citys Ashton Gate on his retirement.
