Tim Richardson makes images acutely attuned to their time - a fusion of classical and futurist motifs filtered through technology. Spiritual Machine reveals the entire breadth and scope of his diverse career and includes pictures for V Magazine, Dazed & Confused, and Vogue Hommes Japan; portraiture of Brooke Candy, Rinko Kikuchi, Tao Okamoto and collaborations with the award-winning fashion director Nicola Formichetti. Richardson's exhibited work is also featured, including installations for the Venice Dance Biennale and OneDotZero. Award-winning art directors Baron & Baron have designed the book, which is ingeniously arranged in chromatic order. Richardson's photographs and film stills move far beyond the camera, exploring the figure through motion capture, scanning and 3D imaging. The results are mesmerising, otherworldly, dreamlike images that radiate with colour and movement. An exciting compendium of work from a highly original photographer, this book will inspire anyone interested in fashion, photography, film and design.
