Thorn And Thunder

Thorn And Thunder follows Vaelen Kane, a grieving New Yorker who discovers that the strange power awakening inside him is the living remnant of Aetheris, an ancient storm-force hidden on Earth after the fall of Aetheria. His parents, once High Aetherians, fled through the Veil to protect that power, losing their memories and raising Vaelen and his sister Sarah as ordinary humans until shadow-born enemies found them. Their parents vanished in a violent attack, leaving Vaelen with the StormHeart and Sarah with the Starward Talisman.

Years later, Vaelen's power begins to break through: lights fail, glyphs burn beneath his skin, reflections distort, and New York itself starts to fracture around him. Elarion, Guardian of the Veil, pulls him into the hidden war and teaches him that survival depends not on raw power, but restraint. Meanwhile, Sarah becomes increasingly tied to the same conflict, her talisman acting as both protection and warning.

As the Abyssal Dominion hunts the StormHeart, Darkrend moves to exploit Vaelen's bond with Sarah. Wraith attacks, memory distortions, and breaches in the Veil reveal that the war that began in Aetheria has reached Earth. Vaelen must face the truth of his bloodline, his parents' sacrifice, and the terrifying force he carries.

By the end, Vaelen is no longer simply a man haunted by grief. He is the vessel of Aetheris, a living storm the Void has been waiting to find. Sarah remains his anchor, but also a mystery of her own.
