The Rat's House

The Carter family thought they had finally found their fresh start.

Marcus, Martha, Ava, and Tyler move to New York City after purchasing an aging brownstone on Blackwell Street. The house needs work, but Marcus sees what nobody else seems to see: a future. A place to raise his family. A home they can finally call their own.

Then the scratching starts.

Food is destroyed. Belongings disappear. Cabinets open by themselves. Strange smells drift through the rooms. Something chews through electrical wiring inside the walls. Tyler begins hearing noises at night, and the family slowly realizes their new home is already occupied. 

But these are not ordinary rats.

The deeper the Carter family investigates, the clearer it becomes that the infestation has a history-and so does the house. Across the street, the mysterious Mr. Graves watches silently because he has seen families move into this brownstone before. He knows how it begins. And he knows what can happen when the creatures inside decide the new owners do not belong. 

What begins as a homeowner's nightmare becomes a battle for the house, the family, and the right to stay.

The Rat's House is a dark, suspenseful horror novel about a family fighting an enemy hidden inside the walls of the one place that was supposed to make them feel safe.
