The Long Awakening takes you on a journey from the birth of the universe to the farthest possibilities of humanity's future.

Beginning approximately 13.8 billion years ago, the book follows the chain of events that transformed a young universe into stars, planets, life, intelligence, civilization and eventually technology capable of changing life itself.

From the first stars and the formation of Earth to the emergence of life, human evolution, agriculture, writing, science and civilization, the story gradually moves toward the questions that define our modern age:

What is consciousness?
Are we alone in the universe?
Could artificial intelligence become a new form of intelligence?
Can humanity redesign its own biology?
Could humans become a multi-planetary species?
What happens when technology becomes powerful enough to transform humanity itself?

The book explores meditation, dreams, psychedelics, near-death experiences, neuroscience, genetics, CRISPR, brain-computer interfaces, longevity, artificial intelligence, space exploration, extraterrestrial intelligence, the Fermi paradox, the simulation hypothesis, black holes, the multiverse and the ultimate fate of the universe.

But The Long Awakening does not present every mystery as a certainty.

It distinguishes between what we know, what the evidence suggests, and what remains unknown.

Because throughout human history, one lesson has repeatedly appeared:

Reality is often stranger than our assumptions about it.

From atoms to galaxies, from the first living cells to conscious minds, from stone tools to artificial intelligence, humanity's story is also the story of the universe gradually becoming capable of asking questions about itself.

The universe began without us.
