Is my life a Hallmark movie? Nope.

I quit (okay, maybe got fired from) my corporate job in New York City and headed out to Montana to visit my best friend, Pippa, in Paradise Valley. It's not exactly my number one vacation spot, but even I have to admit that it's quite picturesque.

Then I met Jack Marley. And when I say met, I mean, he almost ran me off the road in his big red pickup truck. Granted, I may have been looking at my GPS trying to find my destination, but still, he didn't have to be so rude.

I'm still fuming when I arrive at Pippa's ranch. But my day was only about to get worse. Because guess who pulled up right behind me?

Jack Marley himself. Turns out he's Pippa's boyfriend's best friend. And my local host for my stay. What is this nightmare? I have to live with him now?

Jack thinks he's the hottest cowboy in Montana. He's super proud of the fact that he's a confirmed bachelor. I let him know that I doubt he's single by choice, which I don't really believe. I would never admit it to him, but he is kinda cute. I cannot stand him, but his smile does make my heart flutter. Sometimes.

Now, he needs my help illustrating a children's book he's creating for his niece and nephew, and I start to see a softer side of him. However, that doesn't mean I'm going to ignore the fact that he is definitely not the man for me.
