The Challenge

Mel Sherman lives, breathes, and sleeps football, and he knows he is destined for greatness. It is his passion. It is his calling. He is finally ready to fulfill his destiny. But sometimes things don't go as planned. While his expectations were high, Mel fails to reach his dreams. Things go from bad to worse when he has a run-in with a bully--the team captain and coach's son. He gets humiliated, and then he gets cut from the team. His dream is over, and so is his life, or so he thinks.

But oftentimes when one door closes, something better comes along. Is it possible that maybe a dream of greatness, a quest for stardom, could actually be an obstacle keeping one from immortality? Mel is about to find out.

There comes a time in everyone's life when they are forced to make a tough decision. The making of the decision moves them from boyhood into manhood. The outcome of the decision causes them to fail or flourish. The decision is different for everyone, just like the time it arrives is unique. Should Mel walk away and regret it forever, or should he risk shame and humiliation and take a chance? Mel's time has come. He is ready. Now all that is left is for him to accept the challenge!
