Between the wars, the Swedish Army followed the pattern of the countries having fewer financial sources to build and modernise and operate its armed forces. However, the stable military industrial background and at the beginning, the foreign, especially German engineering design and development capacity helped the Swedish Army to be supplied by home designed and made armoured vehicles.
