The texts in this series for beginning readers have a strong phonics base and can be used at any age, from kindergarten to adult learners. Each book includes: simple words that "work" by being sounded out; games and other activities; key words needed for literacy; methods for teaching reading; teachers' notes on how each page can best be used; and help when needed when learning to read.
