Being a member of no Church or religious body, though deeply interested in religion, and convinced of the supreme importance of living a true and virtuous life, I am often questioned by my friends about my belief. Hence, I have been led to write out the conclusions which have been forced upon me by thought and experience, hoping thereby at least to make my own position clear, and desiring also, if possible, to make the results of my thought helpful to others.
