Simon is a boy who everyone bullies. Butch is a junkyard dog that everyone fears, even Simon. Every day Simon walks past Butch on his way to school and tosses him his Splot sandwich. Simon hates these meat sandwiches. Butch loves them. When neighborhood bullies attack Simon, Butch comes to his rescue and a lasting friendship is born.
Simon & Butch is the first book in The Doggos series. The Doggos are heartwarming stories about dogs and the kids who love them. Each book focuses on the story of a sad, abandoned dog and an unhappy, out of control, or lonely kid. The books are inspiring parables that show the special relationship between children and dogs. Kids save dogs. Dogs save kids.
