Sentenced to Ancient Egypt

Cory McMasterson has been sentenced to three hundred years at ADX Florence Supermax prison, the deepest, darkest, correctional facility in the United States. Guilty of the accidental murder of his wife and the self defense murders of nine other prisoners who attacked him first, Cory has been sent to a cage to disappear in the prison's depths with his family glad to forget him.

When he fights his way through a prison riot but does not escape, he is given a second chance by Florence's brutal warden. Given to the mysterious Project Albany by the State Department, Cory is sent to the other side of the planet to what he worries is medical experimentation. But once he arrives, he learns that he has been purposely selected to lead a search and rescue mission of scientists who have gone missing... in Ancient Egypt. .

Invented along with nuclear weapons by Albert Einstein in order to assassinate Adolf Hitler in 1944. His mission failed with Einstein recommending that the time displacement equipment be destroyed and his research classified forever. Ignoring the Physicist's advice, Project Albany has been using the time displacement equipment to loot the past of lost artifacts. Time travel was becoming almost routine until Kate's expedition went missing in 1802 BC Egypt. During the reign of the first woman Pharaoh Sobekneferu, while in search of the Golden King's List of Ijtjway which is legendary for being a priceless history of early Ancient Egypt, and is supposedly made of pure white gold.

Cory is sent back to find Kate and her team, alive would be best, dead just as good. But if Kate or her team are in the company of the woman king Sobekneferu, then they must be assassinated or risk the destruction of reality. Success means freedom for Cory McMasterson, failure means being returned to a cage forever.
