Diese Arbeit legt die Organisationsstruktur, die Dogmatik und die Handlungspraxis der sogenannten Scientology-Organisation dar und unterzieht diese einer verfassungsrechtlichen Beurteilung. Der besondere Stellenwert der Arbeit liegt darin begründet, daß es erstmals gelungen ist, Lehre und Tätigkeit der Vereinigung ausschließlich anhand von Primärquellen zu erschließen. Insgesamt sind weit über einhundert scientologische Schriften, interne Anweisungen u.ä. in der Arbeit berücksichtigt, davon allein etwa einhundert Werke ihres Gründers L. Ron Hubbard. Gegenstand der verfassungsrechtlichen Prüfung ist zum einen die Frage, ob die Scientology-Organisation als Bekenntnisgemeinschaft im Sinne des Art. 4, 140 GG, 137 WRV anzusehen ist, zum anderen, ob die Dogmatik und Tätigkeit ein Verbot der Vereinigung gemäß Art. 9 Abs. 2 GG rechtfertigt.
