One method rewards the builder with a canoe akin to a piece of fine furniture. The other a hard angled craft that is functional but lacks the grace of a traditional canoe.
Mark Schultz wanted a hybrid of the two methods, a canoe that looked more like a cedar stripper, but with the simplicity of a plywood craft. Ripple II is a 14' canoe with a 36" beam and lots of character.
