The book is about enhancement in productivity of an organization through adoption of automation strategy in its material handling function. The study is performed at a company which manufactures sucker rods for a wide consumption and usage. The company established the layout for manufacturing of sucker rod. The improved layout is developed with an objective of removing the shortcomings of the material handling function of the existing layout.
