Rachel Lindgren drowned in the spring of 2001.

For twenty-five years, Danny Halvorsen has heard her voice in the rain.

On stormy nights, when the gutters run full and the world goes quiet, Rachel returns to him. She talks the way she always did. She remembers things no one else could know.
