Our Adventures with Dottie

A new house. A curious Dalmatian across the street. And a world of adventure waiting inside a cardboard box.

Nora and Poppy have never met Dottie, but every morning the spotted dog across the street looks through her window, and the girls look back.

When their new house fills with moving boxes, the sisters discover that ordinary things can become extraordinary. A cardboard box turns into a ship. The stairs become a snowy mountain. A lamp becomes the moon. And through every adventure, Dottie is right there with them, at least in their imaginations.

But imagining Dottie is not quite the same as knowing her.

With a little creativity and one enormous invitation, Nora and Poppy discover that imagination can do more than take you somewhere new. It can help make a new place feel like home.

Our Adventures with Dottie is a warm picture book about sisters, friendship, imagination, and finding possibility in the world already around you. Perfect for children ages 4 to 7 who love dogs, pretend play, sibling adventures, and stories about making new connections.
