Once Upon a Birthday Conspiracy

IIn current day Russia, three brothers gather surreptitiously to talk about a birthday. The upcoming special day for the youngest brother could be a standard celebration... or something much more, if the siblings are bold enough to use the information that has fallen into their laps. Their country is in a downward spiral and, under the current Russian leaders, the evils of the Soviet Union are regenerating with each passing day. The vast majority of their countrymen face a bleak future, if the despots are not removed; and the trio of brothers may have a unique opportunity to change that scenario. They conceive a multiple assassination plot, knowing it will put them at great risk. In an environment where their targets are tightly guarded and threats are eliminated before they can sprout, the brothers' best hope for safety and security is for no one to ever know that they set the stage for a national change of course. Even if others eventually try to act against current leaders, these three men hold the best chance of success, with the least turmoil for the populace. Why? Because they are unknowns, with no political or military ambition and no hint of past suspicious activities.... So, the brothers weigh the age-old question: "If not us, who? If not now, when? "
