Oblivescence

He fell asleep on the flight home. He woke up forgotten.

Nobody at the airport will look at him. His name won't stay on paper. And the life he left behind is still there, still running, but without him in it.

His wife of ten years has a husband. It isn't him.

Marcus Clayton has been forgotten, and the world has quietly closed over the space where he used to be. But he isn't alone. In the cracks of the city, the forgotten live on what everyone else has lost, and they gather by lantern light at the Night Market. They have rules. Keep your head down. Never make the real world notice you. And if the reapers come, pray you're standing in a crowd.

Nobody who's been forgotten has ever found a way back. Marcus thinks he can be the first. But as he starts to get close, he realizes getting home has a price. And he isn't the only one who wants to know how it's done...
