Das Notenbuch diente aber nicht nur Nannerl, sondern auch ihrem jüngeren Bruder Wolfgang zum Klavier üben, und der begabte Junge begann selbst, kleinere Werke zu komponieren, die von ihm oder dem Vater auf freien Seiten des Notenbuches notiert wurden. Diese Neuausgabe enthält ausschließlich Kompositionen von Leopold und Wolfgang Mozart. Sie ergänzt die Ausgabe "Der junge Mozart" von H. Schüngeler, die die allerersten und leichtesten Kompositionen Mozarts enthält (ED 9008). Ein Klassiker des Klavierunterrichts, jetzt in der neuen Reihe "Schott Piano Classics".
