This is a reference book about the television series Maigret, starring Rupert Davies and produced by the B.B.C. It includes the 52 episodes in original date order (plus the pilot), complete cast listings, numerous photographs, directorial credits, and a story synopsis for each episode. Also included is a 1969 BBC Play of the month called Maigret at Bay, also starring Rupert Davies as Maigret, shown several years after the series concluded. Maigret's 52 episodes were shown from 1960-63. There was also a pilot episode starring Basil Sydney in 1959. It appears to be lost. Rupert Davies played Maigret in the series, which was based on novels by Georges Simenon.
