Im ersten Teil ersetzt das Buch die im LEGO-Set fehlende Einführung (gibt es nur über die App) und beschreibt die ersten Schritte zum Einstieg in LEGO Boost. Dann soll ein Überblick über die Möglichkeiten der Programmierung von LEGO Boost gegeben werden. Die Modellideen im Hauptteil des Buches geben Anregungen für eigene Modelle. Diese Bauanleitungen sind nachvollziehbar, aber bewusst einfach gehalten, um die eigene Fantasie und Lust am Ausprobieren zu wecken. LEGO Boost ist ein Roboterbausatz für die Zielgruppe 7 bis 12 Jahre, der ab August 2017 erhältlich ist. Die Bot-Module, die zum Bausatz gehören, sind über Tablets zu programmieren und zu steuern. Im Set sind Anleitungen für fünf Modelle enthalten, darunter eine Gitarre, eine Roboterkatze, ein Humanoid und eine Fertigungsstraße. Das Buch behandelt enthält sowohl Handreichungen zur Programmierung (die Oberfläche ist ähnlich der von Scratch), als auch Bauanleitungen für fünf weitere Modelle.
