On a nearby volcanic island, Koa meets Guss, a cheerful cuscus learning the traditional craft of carving dugout canoes with his grandfather. Together they explore towering rainforest trees, search for one of the world's rarest owls, and discover that the Solomon Islands are home to more than 70 different languages.

Along the way, Koa shares a simple but powerful lesson: by sorting waste, recycling, and working together, every community can help protect its beaches, forests, wildlife, and oceans.
