Im Mittelpunkt der Monografie steht die von Musik inspirierte Trilogie Lament, die in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der palästinensischen Schauspielerin Hiam Abbass entstand. Krippendorff develops works that are shaped by his background-a dual German-American citizen, who grew up in Rome-and wrestle with subjects such as belonging, cultural assimilation, and states of being in-between and different.The publication Interpretations focuses on Krippendorff's five most recent films and works he produced in connection with them. At the center of the monograph stands the trilogy Lament, which was inspired by music and created in close collaboration with the Palestinian actor Hiam Abbass.
