Fresh from the academy, first leftenant Harrison chose one of the colony ships to leave earth as his first assignment, disowned by his family for his choice given his highly privileged background and the strings they could have pulled. Treated horribly by his fellow officers for his high and rich upbringing, Harrison resigns himself to the worse decision he has ever made. The long journey to the new home was supposed to be an easy affair of mostly cryostasis with the occasional rotation of system checks by assigned officers but an unusual accident occurred and being the next in line for system checks, Harrison was woken by the ships computer to discover the command crew's stasis chambers had been sabotaged, leaving him as the highest officer on board. With no respect from the grunts and unusual incidents occurring far too often, Harrison must battle with his own inadequacies as captain and the possibility that a murderer is on board and possibly still awake.
