About The Author
Success is not just about knowledge; it's about knowing when and how to apply it. And I learned that the hard way.
Back in the 2020s, I was a manager at a consulting firm, where English was a daily part of my professional life. I was writing reports, analyzing data, and communicating with clients in high-pressure situations. In many ways, English had become second nature to me. So, when I decided to take the IELTS exam for immigration purposes, I expected it to be another task I could handle with ease. But what I didn't anticipate was the challenge of writing essays in a timed test environment.
Despite years of experience using English in real-world situations, I found myself facing an unexpected roadblock. When it came to writing essays under pressure, I was stuck. I struggled to generate ideas, and even when I did, developing them into a coherent argument seemed almost impossible. My scores in the writing section were consistently low, and I began to doubt my abilities.
But I didn't give up. I have taken the IELTS exam seven times and completed five mock tests. Each attempt taught me something new - what strategies worked, and which ones didn't. Through persistence and trial and error, I eventually developed a method that allowed me to craft high-quality essays quickly and effectively.
The first time I used this method in a real test, I wrote an 8.5 essay in just 19 minutes. And the best part? It worked every time after that.
Along the way, I also discovered key strategies that helped me overcome common challenges in IELTS Writing Task 2. I found life hacks that addressed the specific struggles many students face. That's why I wrote this book - to share a practical, structured approach that can help you, just like it helped me, achieve your desired scores.
Today, as a private English teacher specializing in IELTS preparation, I've made it my mission to help students navigate the same hurdles I once faced. My goal is to make essay writing more manageable, less intimidating, and more structured, so that you can approach your exam with confidence.
If I can do it - someone who once struggled with generating ideas and organizing thoughts under pressure - then you can absolutely do it too. Success in IELTS Writing Task 2 isn't about being naturally gifted. It's about using the right strategies and trusting the process. With the right approach, you can achieve your best score, and I'm here to show you how.
Yours sincerely,
Anna Peshter
