La plupart des pičces des machines usinées sont sollicitées en rotation ŕ des charges engendrant un phénomčne de fatigue et en travaillant en contact avec d'autres pičces, elles finissent par se dégrader ŕ cause du phénomčne d'usure. Ces pičces nécessitent ŕ cet effet un matériau ŕ hautes caractéristiques mécaniques et une gamme d'usinage bien adaptée. Ces deux solutions bien qu'elles soient techniquement acceptables, ne garantissent pas un bon indice économique. Dans ce travail, nous avons opté pour un matériau ordinaire en l'occurrence : l'acier C35 auquel nous avons appliqué un traitement de rectification-galetage comme opération de finition ŕ fin d'obtenir les paramčtres optimaux de cette raison. En plus des améliorations des caractéristiques mécaniques qu'il offre, ce procédé améliore nettement les défauts micro et macro géométriques. Il peut donc remplacer l'opération de parachčvement classique.
