Titanium is widely regarded as a suitable material for endodontic implants due to its excellent biocompatibility and resistance to corrosion. Unlike metals such as stainless steel or Vitallium, titanium forms a passive oxide layer (Ti2O , TiO2) that protects it from tissue fluid-induced corrosion.
