El planteamiento de la exposición y del libro coinciden con el concepto vertebral del trabajo de Sánchez, que nos remite a las instalaciones que el artista norteamericano Robert Smithson realizó desde los años 60, apoyadas en el concepto de "site/non-site". Como Smithson, Sánchez produce una dialéctica entre paisaje y arquitectura, retroalimentando ambas vivencias como opuestas pero complementarias, y activando un conjunto de simetrías como naturaleza y artificio, geometría y arbitrariedad, fondo y figura, lleno y vacío...
