Children love to tell stories as much as they love to listen to stories. But to hallmark such momentous occasions the glory is in being skilled to write these stories. Sadly listening to and telling stories differ greatly from writing stories. Research has indicated that students have difficulty in identifying types of characters in text and lack creativity in thought for effective characterization and meaningful conflict. In addition, students developed better story lines and characters when they used picture stimulus. Consequently, this book illustrates the use of two animated films to help students improve character development for story writing. Research discovered that the use of animated film exaggerated characters, concretized stories, stimulated students thinking and helped students to retain details which appeared more memorable in film as opposed to text only. Furthermore, it created more positive attitudes and higher levels of motivation for narrative writing among students. Considering these factors this book recommends the use of technological instructional media in class to make use of students' world in order to stimulate their minds and efforts.
