Ein früher Text von Hermann Goedsche (1815-1878), besser bekannt als Sir John Retcliffe, der mit seinen historisch-politischen Romanen aus der Gegenwart Generationen von Lesern gefesselt hat. Nach der Erstauflage von 1844 endlich wieder neu aufgelegt.
