Crimes and Confessions

Declan, Aiden, and Finn grew up together in South Boston where they often found themselves delving into all kinds of mischief. They called themselves the Three Irish Musketeers, but not long after puberty, Declan found God and delighted his mother by announcing his intention to become a Catholic priest. Aiden attended the police academy after high school and Finn went the other way. On a lazy morning in 1988, a mysterious stranger enters the confessional booth for the first time and claims he's been dreaming about murders before they occur. Declan is intrigued, yet skeptical, as he listens. The dreamer turns his world upside down with his prophecies which soon begin to come true.

The tale explores the bonds between three childhood friends that continue to haunt them into adulthood. By the age of 40, the criminal is no longer welcome at Sunday lunches because his two comrades from his youth blame him for the death of a loved one. But the police detective will find himself in need of his former friend as he taps into the shady world of gangsters to solve a few murders and prevent the death of his best friend, a Catholic priest.
