Codex Iuris Canonici

"Codex Iuris Canonici" est monumentale opus legum quod universam disciplinam Ecclesiae Catholicae Romanae ordinat. Hoc volumen, sub auctoritate Benedicti Papae XV editum, primam systematicam codificationem iuris ecclesiastici repraesentat, quae dispersas collectiones antiquas in unum corpus cohaerens redegit.

In hoc opere continentur canones de personis, de sacramentis, de locis et temporibus sacris, de magisterio ecclesiastico, de bonis temporalibus, et de poenis. Per hanc structuram, Ecclesia suam vitam internam et relationes externas iuridice definivit, stabilitatem et unitatem disciplinae toto orbe terrarum quaerens.

Hoc scriptum non solum theologis et iurisperitis necessarium est, sed omnibus qui historiam iuris et institutionum Europaearum cognoscere volunt. "Codex Iuris Canonici" fundamentum iuris ecclesiastici saeculi vicesimi constituit et sapientiam iuridicam Ecclesiae per saecula accumulatam lucide exponit.
