The nightmare at Camp Hawthorne was never confined to the camp.

After surviving Cabin Twelve, Helena and the others believe they have finally broken the forces holding them inside the forest. The cabin is burning, the veil is weakening, and somewhere beyond the trees lies a road that could finally lead them home.

But Camp Hawthorne has one last secret.

Following the warnings left behind in Tom's notebook, the survivors are drawn toward the First Door-an ancient place hidden deep within the forest, older than the camp, older than the Vale family, and connected to something that was never meant to reach their world.

As the truth beneath Buckley Lake begins to emerge, the survivors discover that the supernatural forces they have fought may have been only pieces of something much larger.
