Written in three parts, with multiple titled stories in each part, the sections are chronologically ordered. Parts I, II, and III divide the author's life into youth, adulthood to middle-age, and later years ((0-18, 19-40, and 41-70+). Stories within the three parts may be read independently, or the book may be read chronologically from the prologue, through the stages of the author's life, to the epilogue.
