In the summer of 1993, Chris Shepard ventures across state line with his family on a work trip to deliver a casket to a remote church near Kettleford, Iowa-a town lost in cornstalks and long-buried secrets. What starts as an odd job quickly spirals into ancient horror as the Shepards quickly uncover that an ancient cult rules the town from the shadows.
