Before Christmas

A calm, immersive way to learn European Spanish through story.

Discover the everyday moments, familiar places and quiet surprises of a Spanish neighbourhood in Before Christmas: Bilingual European Spanish-English Christmas Stories, the first book in a series of interconnected bilingual stories for adult learners of European Spanish at pre-intermediate A2 Level.

Clara is preparing for the weeks ahead. Between work, visits to the bakery and conversations with neighbours, she begins to think about family, old memories and the things she has left unexplored.

Written in clear, accessible European Spanish, these four connected stories offer a gentle introduction to reading authentic fiction in Spanish. Repeated vocabulary, natural dialogue and carefully controlled language help you build confidence as the narrative unfolds.

Rather than relying on memorisation or isolated exercises, the 52 Story Method encourages you to develop your Spanish through reading, following characters and discovering meaning in context.

A thoughtful and enjoyable way to make reading part of your language-learning journey.
