Bearberry

Bearberry is a book that features a lovable, fluffy character that children will love to follow as he explores Berry Village! This book incorporates fun, repetitive songs followed by interactive pages that your child will become actively engaged with while participating in the story. A unique feature of this book is the "Brainstorm with Bearberry" section that can be found at the end of the book. This section is meant to assist parents and educators with expanding on the story and using it as a basis for more educational interactions and activities.

The "Ask Questions" section that includes a series of questions that are meant to encourage development of critical thinking, problem solving, foundational reading, conflict resolution, social-emotional and reading comprehension skills. When I read aloud, I also like to remind the child at the beginning of the book that I will be asking them about the book at the end so they are more likely to try to remember details. This way, they are encouraged to listen carefully rather than just casually listening and possibly becoming disengaged.

The "Reread with a Twist" section that includes ideas about how you can make the story even more engaging each time you read it by challenging your young audience while reading the story.

The "Activity" section that includes a fun,simple activity related to the story that young ones will enjoy participating in!
