Rezeptionsmechanismen von Theatertexten wurden mit Blick auf die "konkrete Arbeit am Text" bisher kaum analysiert. Diese Lücke wird mit der vorliegenden Arbeit, die die "produktionsorientierte" Textlinguistik gegen eine stärker rezeptionsorientierte, dabei aber eine am realen Text verbleibende eintauscht und Möglichkeiten findet, Rezeptionsprozesse auf einer sprachlichen, also faßbaren Ebene zu beschreiben, zum Teil geschlossen. Als Ergebnis der Untersuchung konnten Aussagen über bestimmte textuelle Strukturen oder Eigenschaften als Schnittstellen herausgearbeitet werden, an denen der Rezipient bevorzugt ansetzt, um den Text "in seiner Effizienz zu steigern".
